1. How much are lessons?
Lesson rates are $30 for 30 minutes, $45 for 45 minutes and $60 for an hour.

2. When are payments due?
Payments are due at the beginning of each month for the entire month.

3. What method of payment do you accept?

I accept checks, Venmo, PayPal or Cash App. You can pay through the Payments Page.

4. What if we need to miss a lesson?
Lessons must be cancelled with 24 hour notice or more. If appropriate notice is provided, the lesson will be rescheduled if both parties schedules allow. If not, it will be rebated from the next month’s bill. If cancelled with less than 24 hours notice, the lesson is nonrefundable.

5. Can I sit in on my child’s lesson?
Absolutely. Parents are more than welcome to be present during the lesson. I do recommend speaking with your student to ensure your presence will not cause them performance anxiety.

6. Can we come early?
Out of respect to other students, please do not enter the studio more than 5 minutes prior to your scheduled lesson time. If you need to reschedule your time, please reach out with 24 hours or more notice.

7. Can we use your bass?
No. Please refer to the materials needed. All students must provide their own instrument.

8. My child forgot their double bass / bass guitar / bow / book. What should we do?
Come to the lesson. I will give them a theory lesson. They will probably remember their materials from then on.

9. How long should the lesson be?
I typically recommend 30 minute lessons for middle school students and 45 minutes for high school. If the student has professional aspirations, I recommend an hour. Remember that too much time is a waste of money and counterproductive. We can revise time slots (schedule permitting) if we find the student needs more or less.
